BENFLEET CAMERA CLUB

About us ...........
The clubs roots go back to the mid sixties when some enthusiasts got together at the back of Don Reed's Photographic Shop near the Primary School in the High Road Benfleet. From those early beginnings just one member has stayed with the Club all that time. The venue has changed on many occasions but we have been at St Georges now for some time. On average we have around 30 members attending each evening with overall membership normally around 45.
We are a friendly club and welcome members of all ages and whether Beginners or Advanced, with the Advanced workers always ready to give advice.
Competitions are popular, which although not taken too seriously, are competitive with many members producing some excellent work specifically for them. We also compete against other Clubs. These competitions provide the ability to view others work and get fresh ideas, to benefit from the judges comments, plus providing a challenge for those who wish to produce work specifically to suit the subject.
We are affiliated to the EAF
